The Mold Setter role at Molding Dynamics sets up the plastic injection molding equipment and molds for the production department.

The plastic injection mold setter is responsible for the safe installation of molds, water lines, knockout bars, dyers, parts, and more.
As a mold setter, your job would include:
Safely install molds and remove them from the injection molding machines.
Install necessary water lines, knockout bars, hydraulic lines, air lines, switches, hoppers, dryers, conveyors, and auxiliary equipment.
Start jobs assuring the parts meet the visual and dimensional criteria and then turn the press over to the production dept.
Perform relief duties, fill in for other positions as required.
Report any unsafe conditions, follow safety, and plant rules.
Perform maintenance duties as needed.
Mold setter job training is available. The ideal candidate for the mold setter role will have:
Follow written and verbal instructions.
Must have mechanical aptitude and the ability to use hand and power tools. Tools and safety equipment are provided by Molding Dynamics.
Ability for repeated bending, reaching, stooping, climbing, and lifting.
Lift truck, rigging, and or crane operation experience.
Required to understand and safely operate/setup the injection molding machine.
Fundamental knowledge of the different plastic materials and their processing.
